Solar Vision 2025 Energy Transformation Summit and Exhibition

18 December 2025

Our Association Board Chairman, GAMA Energy Board Member and General Manager Tamer Çalışır, participated in the session titled “The Future of Large-Scale 5.1.h Unlicensed PV Systems” organized within the scope of SolarVision 2025.

He shared his assessments on the effects of the increasing scale of unlicensed production on the electricity market and system security.

In his speech, our Chairman particularly emphasized that:

- With the growth of license-free capacity, the industry's increasing role as an electricity producer has created a need for a new balance in terms of system and market design.

- License-free production at this scale has made issues such as imbalance management and system cost sharing even more critical.

- The transition from monthly to hourly settlement is an approach that encourages actual self-consumption and produces a fairer market signal,

- As in European examples, the industry's access to green electricity through long-term power purchase agreements (PPAs) without entering the producer role offers a more sustainable model in terms of predictability and role clarity.

In the session moderated by Ateş Uğurel, founder of Solarbaba;

Our association member Tolgay Benderli, CEO and Board Member of Naturel Holding, shared the current situation and his international experiences from an investor's perspective, while Nuri Şensoy (Head of Data) from Senkron Dijital discussed the role of digitalization in battery revenue management. TÜREB Vice President Ebru Arıcı shared her views on the development of wind, solar, and storage, as well as regulatory expectations.

The Electricity Producers Association (EÜD), which unites electricity producers in the Turkish energy sector under a single roof, has an installed capacity of approximately 57,000 MW with 69 members.

Since its establishment in 2002, EÜD has been operating to contribute to the creation of a competitive and transparent market, to find solutions to common problems on behalf of Independent Electricity Generation Companies, and to improve information sharing and cooperation among its members. In addition, it has been working steadfastly for the establishment of a financially sound, stable and transparent market that can operate under the provisions of private law in order to provide electricity to consumers in a sufficient, high quality, continuous, economic and environmentally friendly manner and to ensure independent regulation and supervision in this market.
