EÜD Chairman Mr. Tamer Çalışır’s Remarks on Upcoming YEKA Auctions

8 May 2025

The views of our Board Chairman Mr. Tamer Çalışır regarding the YEKA tenders planned for October–November 2025 have been featured.

Mr. Çalışır stated that with the Ministry’s target of increasing Turkey’s installed wind and solar capacity to 120 gigawatts by 2035, a bold and strategic roadmap for the country’s clean energy transition has been set. He emphasized that clearly announcing this target has strengthened investor confidence and improved market predictability, enabling long-term investment planning. He commented:

“Under the leadership of our Minister, the goals set in renewable energy reflect not only quantitative growth but also a transformation focused on localization, technology, and employment. The YEKA model, which is one of the most concrete tools of this vision, continues to enable large-scale capacity allocation. As in 2024, the new YEKA tenders planned for 2025 will support technological progress and contribute significantly to reducing the current account deficit.”
